March 20th, 2013: New Program: Graymour Day Camp!
Ever wished the fun of Horseback Riding Summer Camp never had to end? Graymour Stables now offers a new program: Graymour Day Camp! Starting April 1st, kids can stay for a few hours or the whole day, four days a week, and enjoy recreational and educational "playtime" at Graymour! For fans of our old Afterschool program, we also run the day camp during these hours, so this also covers the ground of the Graymour Afterschool classes. (Transportation is NOT provided, however.)
Click here for more information on the new Graymour Day Camp.
Also, a huge thanks to three of our students (M., J., and C.) who made lemonade last weekend. :) For legal reasons, we can't put the real names of anyone under 13 online without written permission from their parents or guardians, but you know who you are. ;)
February 13th, 2013: New Riding Lessons and Class Openings!
We are now accepting registration for Private Lessons and Levels 1 and 2 Homeschool Horsemanship Classes on Mondays. Classes will be at the following times:
Monday: 10 AM-12 PM
Monday: 12:30 PM-2:30 PM
These will be brand new Level 1 and 2 sessions. Our Level 1 classes are a great introduction to the world of horseback riding and horsemanship for beginners and those who may have ridden before but are just getting back into it. Our Level 2 classes pick right up where Level 1 left off and offer students the chance to advance and refine their skills. The starting date for each class is to be determined based upon registration. (For those unable to make Mondays, we also have Level 1 Openings on Thursdays!)
Starting next week, private horseback riding lessons are also available on Mondays again! Please call us at 843-810-9141 or e-mail us for more information or to sign up!
Happy Valentine's Day from everyone at Graymour Stables, and we look forward to seeing you there!
January 28th, 2013: New Lesson Horse At Graymour
We'd like to announce the newest horse to our lesson program: CD. (Short for Cinemax Desperado) Last Thursday was his first official day as a lesson horse, and everyone loved him. We were so impressed by him that a partial lease was arranged for him within 48 hours of his arrival! (Yeah, he's that cool.) He is an amazing horse and we are very pleased to have him here at Graymour. More details coming soon in his bio!
We have also moved all of the tack and equipment for lessons from our old, temporary building (the "tack shed") into the new barn and the shed itself has been moved off the premises. So if you walk up and don't see the big red shed there anymore, don't panic, it's all still here. ;) A huge thank you to everyone who came and helped out--It looks terrific in the new barn!
We at Graymour Stables want to wish everyone a happy new years. Here's to one great year gone by and many more yet to come.
To kick off the new year, our operations are completely up and running. We have finished moving our therapy equipment and may resume therapy lessons. Thank you again to everyone who made such a quick, smooth transition to the new facility possible.
To commemorate this auspicious occasion, lesson, party, and educational class prices have all been reduced! Instead of $30 per hour, we are offering lessons at $25 per hour! Take advantage of this deal while it lasts!
Last but not least, keep an eye out on our for sale items. We will be selling a lot of good quality, used equipment for a good price in the near future! This is a great chance for new horse owners or experienced students to pick up great items like schooling saddles, english girths and many other tack items for an amazingly low price!
December 20th, 2012: First Lessons Given at New Facility!
After a two-week moving process, Graymour is up and running again. The riding arena, round pen, and several paddocks are fully built, and we will be reconstructing the handicap accessable ramp soon! We also have the chicken coops up, and the main barn building is coming along great. A huge thanks to everyone who made this happen over the last two weeks--We recieved a huge outpouring of help, from people loaning trailers and trucks to setting up fencing and every process in between. We couldn't have done it without you!
Thursday we gave our first lessons, and everyone had a blast chilling out around the new arena after class. Pictures of our first lessons at the new location coming soon!
(P.S.: Yes, we found the barn cats. They are back to sleeping curled up on the bins as usual.)
